House Bill 3118: Grandparent Visitation

Summary:
This bill would have deleted the safeguards in current law authorizing the family court to order grandparent visitation. We think the current safeguards are insufficient and that parents, not a family court judge, should determine whether grandparents visit with the child. This legislative proposal would have made the law worse than it is.

This bill is currently in the House Judiciary Committee.
