House Bill 1602: Requiring Principal to Interview Students Withdrawing or Absent from Public School

Summary:
Among other things, this bill would require that a student not complying with the compulsory attendance law (or even accused of not complying with the law) be interviewed by the public school principal. This law could be used to harass or intimidate homeschoolers accused by public school officials of not complying with the law for home education programs.
