House Bill 1540: Promoting Equal Access to Public School Extracurricular Activities
Rep. John Evans
Among other things, this bill would prevent a school district from designating a school activity as part of the school curriculum, thereby denying homeschoolers participation in such activities. Current law permits homeschool students to participate in extracurricular activities, but some school districts have been denying homeschoolers this right by designating the activities as curricular.
