HB 3275: Penalty for False Allegations of Child Abuse

Summary:
This bill would impose a penalty for filing a false report of child abuse. Punishes a person who knowingly makes a false report of child abuse by a maximum of one year's imprisonment or a $5,000 fine, or both.
Status:
This bill was introduced on March 11, 2003. The bill is now before the House Judiciary Committee.
