Summary:
This bill would have required students in certain grade levels to take the State Assessment Examinations according to rules of the Regents or regulations of the Commissioner of Education. It is unclear whether students receiving home instruction were intended to be included in this.

Status:
This bill was introduced on January 8, 2003 and sent to the Senate Education Committee.
While the first year of the 2003-2004 session of the New York legislature ended June 20, 2003, this bill could be re-introduced in January of 2004.
