Assembly Bill 3000: Provides a Constitutional Right of Parents to Direct the Upbringing and Education of Their Children

Summary:
This was a proposed constitutional amendment for parental rights in the upbringing and education of their children.

Status:
This bill was introduced on February 3, 2003, and was in the Judiciary Committee. The bill has also been sent to the Attorney General for an opinion.
While the first year of the 2003-2004 session of the New York legislature ended June 20, 2003, this bill could be re-introduced in January of 2004.

This bill was supported.
