HSLDA's Position:
Neutral. HSLDA does not take a position on bills providing public benefits to homeschool families. This bill has been reviewed to insure that it does not harm homeschoolers directly. On April 9, 2003, the bill was substantially amended by the Assembly Education Committee. Representatives from Washoe County gutted many important sections of the bill. HSLDA is disappointed by the influence a single county has on homeschoolers opportunities across the state.
