Senate Bill 789: An Act to Allow Homeschoolers to Participate in Interscholastic Competition

Summary:
This well intentioned bill allows individual homeschoolers to join public school teams. Unfortunately, the bill fails to provide access for homeschool teams to participate in interscholastic competition. It needs to be amended.

HSLDA's Position:
HSLDA is neutral on this bill because it would only allow homeschoolers to participate on public school teams. However, we would support a well-designed bill that allows homeschool teams to participate in interscholastic activities.
