Oppose.
Action Requested:
1) Call or preferably visit your representative and ask them to vote HB 368 inexpedient to legislation (ITL). To find our who your representative is, use our Legislative Toolbox.
Please make the following message clear in your own words:
The House Education Committee voted with a bipartisan majority to recommend that no changes to current homeschool laws in New Hampshire are needed. In spite of this, anti-homeschooling members of the committee have essentially resurrected HB 367 as an amendment to HB 368 and have forced a floor fight over this issue. HB 367 was already voted down by the house last year. I am asking you to vote ITL on HB 368—the recommendation of a bipartisan majority of the committee. The New Hampshire homeschool law is working fine and needs no further changes. Furthermore, if passed, HB 368 would make New Hampshire’s homeschool law the most restrictive and burdensome homeschool law in the country. Please vote ITL on HB 368.
2) Plan to attend the New Hampshire full House session on January 6, 2010.
