House Bill 587: Parents Under Investigation Must be Informed of Their Rights

Summary:
The bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to inform parents of a child suspected of being a victim of abuse and neglect of the nature of the charges and that they are not required to admit state employees to their property and are not required to allow them to interview their child without a court order.
