House Bill 1033: Potential Changes to Diploma Requirements

Summary:
This bill has changed the high school diploma requirements for homeschool students from 17 to 21 units if the diploma is issued by the local school district, an approved non-public school, or the North Dakota division of independent study.
Status:
House Bill 1033 was first introduced on January 7, 2003. It was referred to the House Education Committee, which gave the bill a "pass" recommendation on January 16, 2003. The bill passed the House on January 23, 2003 and was sent to the Senate. House Bill 1033 was send to the Senate Education Committee which gave the bill a "pass" recommendation on February 26, 2003. The Senate passed the bill the next day and on March 5, 2003, was sent to the Governor. The bill was signed into law on March 7, 2003.
