House Bill 335: Tax Fairness in Education

Summary:
This is a tax credit bill, allowing for a credit of $1,250 per semester for each child in a nonpublic school or for each child paying tuition at a public school. The credit for public school tuition could not exceed the amount of the tuition. There is also a provision in this bill for the county board of supervisors to appropriate up to $500 per child per year for nonpublic school students.
