Senate Bill 171: A Bill Raising the Compulsory Attendance Age

Senators Linda Garrou, Peter Samuel (Pete) Brunstetter, Jim Jacumin, Ed Jones, Tony Rand, and John Snow

Summary:
This bill would raise the compulsory attendance age from 16 to 17, until the child graduates from high school. HSLDA opposes any expansion of state control over education

Status:

2/14/2007 Referred to the Senate Education Committee
5/9/2007 Committee report favorable and re-referred to the Appropriations Committee

HSLDA opposes this legislation.
