House Bill 1474: An Act Increasing the Compulsory Attendance Age
Representatives Dan Blue; Bill Faison; Jean Farmer-Butterfield; Larry D. Hall; Paul Luebke; Deborah K. Ross; and Larry Womble
This bill would raise the compulsory attendance age from 16 to 18, until the child graduates from high school. HSLDA opposes any expansion of state control over education.
