Senate Bill 2080: An Act to End the Provision to Withdraw a Five-Year-Old from Kindergarten

Summary:
This bill would delete the provision of the state law permitting a parent to withdraw a 5-year-old child from public kindergarten on a one-time basis. HSLDA believes that parents, not school officials, should determine when a child is ready for formal education.
