House Bill 944: Disenrolling a 5-Year-Old from Public School Kindergarten

Summary:
This bill would delete the current provision of state law permitting the parent of a 5-year-old to disenroll the child from public school kindergarten. HSLDA believes that parents of 5-year-olds should be able to continue to determine when their child is ready for formal education.
