Senate Bill 2113: Additional High School Requirements

Summary:
This bill would require the teaching of the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, the Federalist Papers, and the Emancipation Proclamation of 1862 to high school students. It is unclear whether these required subjects would apply to nonpublic schools such as home instruction programs. HSLDA opposes any state-mandated subjects for homeschools. This bill is now dead.
