House Bill 1298: Tax Credits for Homeschoolers

Summary:
This is a tax credit bill. The provisions of Section 19 require the state to evaluate annually for 12 years the academic performance of students, including homeschool students. Other types of evaluations must also be conducted “using appropriate analytical and behavioral science methodologies.” This bill is now dead.

This bill could have been supported if the evaluation provisions were deleted. It was opposed as introduced.
