House Bill 970: An Act Expanding the Compulsory Attendance Age
This bill would have expanded the compulsory attendance age to require a child turning 17 during the school year to complete the school year. It would also have deleted the law permitting the parent of a 5-year-old to withdraw a child from kindergarten.
