Senate Bill 2700: An Act Requiring Provision of Meningococcal Disease Information
Author:
Senator Chaney
Summary:
This bill will require public and nonpublic schools to annually provide information to parents about meningococcal disease. The State Department of Education would have to provide this information to home schools "with which they have contact." Neither current law nor this bill requires any contact by the Department with home schools. It appears that this bill would only apply if the Department had occasion to have contact with home schools. HSLDA does not oppose this legislation.
