Senate Bill 2262: An Act Lowering the Compulsory Attendance Age

Summary:
Section 2 of this bill would have lowered the compulsory attendance age, requiring a child who turns 6 from January 1 of a school year to enroll in school at the beginning of the school year. Therefore, a child who is only 5 years old when school starts would have had to attend school if he would have become 6 by January 1.
