House Bill 788: An Act Relating To Child Protection

Representatives Johnson and Roorda.
Summary:
If there is a finding that a minor has abused another child, either by a court, or the Children's Division based on a substantiated child abuse report that is upheld by the child abuse and neglect review board, then the abusing minor shall be prohibited from returning to or residing in any residence 1,000 feet away from the abused child's residence, or any child care facility or school that is attended by the abused child. The bill died in committee when the legislature adjourned.
