Senate File 816: Expanding Education Tax Credit

Summary:
This bill would raise the income cap for those families eligible to receive the education tax credit, and also remove the cap on the amount of credit available to families with numerous children.

Status:
02/07/2005(S) Introduction and first reading, referred to Education

Action Requested:
None at this time. The Minnesota legislature is now closed, and this bill did not pass.

HSLDA's Position:
Support. This bill would allow homeschoolers to keep more of their own money to invest in the lives of their children without facing increased regulation.
