House Bill 1503: Student Loans/Scholarships

Summary:
This bill would have abolished the requirement that homeschoolers achieve 3 points higher on the ACT than their public school counterparts to be eligible for scholarships under the Tuition Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS).

04/20/2004(H) READ BY TITLE, UNDER THE RULES, REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION.
06/21/2004Louisiana Legislature adjourned, this bill is now dead.

No action at this time

HSLDA's Position:
This bill was supported. This bill would have put homeschoolers on an equal footing with public school students in order to receive TOPS funding.
