House Bill 1104: Religious Freedom Restoration Act
Author:
Representative Thompson and Noe
Summary:
This bill protects the religious freedom of individuals from the state government. It achieves this goal by limiting the ability of the government to adopt policies discriminating against religious activities. The bill also enables individuals to challenge government entities, and if the person prevails, to receive attorney's fees. Finally, the bill allows a court to prevent a person from filing frivolous or fraudulent claims against the government.
