House Bill 232: Prohibiting Virtual Schools

Rep. Monique D. Davis, Annazette Collins, Kevin Joyce and Esther Golar

Summary:
Prohibits the State Board of Education and school boards from establishing, maintaining, or in any way supporting any virtual schools or virtual classes for elementary or secondary students in this State. Amendment four has been introduced; if adopted it would develop a task force for monitoring virtual schools.
