Senate Bill 3393: Mandatory Kindergarten Attendance After Enrollment

Sponsor:
Senator J. Bradley Burzynski

Summary:
This bill lowers the compulsory attendance age to include children enrolled in kindergarten. Even if a child is below the age of 7, once enrolled in kindergarten, he would fall under the compulsory attendance requirement if this bill is passed. Children that are never enrolled in public school will continue to be exempt from attending school until age 7.
