House Bill 503: Homeschooler’s Eligibility for the Key to the Future Scholarships

Summary:
This bill would provide a pilot program for certain schools, and give students at those schools an opportunity to receive scholarships if they agree to remain drug, alcohol, and tobacco free during the 11th and 12th grade, have at least a 2.5 GPA (or an ACT composite score of 20) and agree to voluntarily participate in random drug testing. It includes eligibility for those “receiving comparable instruction in a home-based setting.”
