House File 143: Permits child who is merely truant to be taken under court jurisdiction
Repeals law stating mere truancy is not grounds for a child being "in need of services;" makes it a crime to allow a person to allow the person's residence to be used to facilitate the truancy of a child.
This bill is being carried over from last year's legislative session. It was referred to the House Education Subcommittee 2/11/03.
