Senate Resolution 38: Requesting the Department of Education to Permit Homeschool Student Participation in Extra-Curricular Activities

Summary:
This resolution requested that the Department of Education to establish procedures and guidelines permitting homeschool students to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in public schools.

Status:
This bill was introduced on March 7, 2003. On March 31, 2003, the Senate Education Committee voted 5-0, with 2 excused, to pass the resolution as written. The bill was adopted by the full Senate on April 4, 2003. Since the Hawaii Legislature adjourned sine die on May 1, 2003, the bill is now dead.
