House Bill 406: Raising Compulsory Attendance Age and Truancy Penalties

Summary:
This bill would have increased increase the compulsory attendance age from 6 to 7, but it would also have increased the penalties for a truancy conviction. HSLDA supports the change in the compulsory attendance age but opposes the change in the penalties.
