House Bill 406: Raising Compulsory Attendance Age and Truancy Penalties
Rep. Gail Buckner (D)
This bill would have increased increase the compulsory attendance age from 6 to 7, but it would also have increased the penalties for a truancy conviction. HSLDA supports the change in the compulsory attendance age but opposes the change in the penalties.
|04/07/2004||Died when 2004 Legislative Session ended|
HSLDA would not support this bill unless it was amended to delete the change in the penalties.
