Senate Bill 704: Mandates Passage of the FCAT Prior to Graduation from a Private School
Author:
Senator Gary Siplin
Summary:
If this bill passed, all students enrolled in a private school would be required to have a passing score on the score on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) before receiving a high school diploma. This could potentially affect all homeschoolers who operate under the private school umbrella option in Florida and take the decision of when to graduate a student away from the parent.
