Senate Bill 103: Homeschools Defined as Nonpublic Schools
This bill defines homeschools as nonpublic schools and creates three types of homeschools. This legislation clarifies and simplifies the reporting requirements for homeschools.

The Senate Education Committee voted 4-0 in favor of SB 103 and the full Senate passed the bill on June 10, 2003 were the bill was sent to the House. After the House Education Committee voted 9-1 in favor of the bill, the entire House passed the bill on June 24, 2003. The bill was signed into law on June 30, 2003.
