House Bill 6977: An Act Mandating the HPV Vaccination
Representatives Mary Mushinsky, Mary Fritz, Bill Finch, Peter Villano, Thomas Kehoe Edith Prague, Sandy Nafis, Demetrios Giannaros, Gary LeBeau, and DebraLee Hovey.
This bill would require a child in a public or nonpublic school to receive the human papilloma virus vaccine prior to entering the sixth grade. HSLDA believes that decisions about whether to receive such a vaccine should be made by parents after consulting with medical professionals, not the state.
