House Bill 6923: An Act Regarding Truancy

Summary:
This bill would create have created more authority for school districts to deal with alleged truancy, including home visits and reporting the parents to social services for educational neglect. This type of law is often used to harass families who have withdrawn their children from public school in order to homeschool them.
