House Bill 974: Tim Tebow Act

Summary:
This bill would create the “Tim Tebow Act.” It would permit students being taught at home by a private tutor or through a church school to participate in athletics or band at public school or a non-public school (if the non-public school permitted it).

Status:
4/30/2009 (House) Read for the first time and referred to the House of Representatives Committee on Education Policy

Bill died when legislature adjourned.

HSLDA's Position:
HSLDA takes a neutral position on such legislation.
