Senate Bill 312: An Act Regarding Equal Access

Summary:
This bill would have been known as the Equal Access to Extracurricular Activities Act. It would have allowed students taught by a private tutor to participate in extracurricular activities at public school. It would also have allowed private and church school students to do the same if their schools did not offer such activities. HSLDA takes a neutral position on such legislation.

1/19/2006Introduced and referred to the Education committee
4/23/2006 Bill died when Legislature adjourned

HSLDA's Position:
HSLDA is neutral on such legislation.
