Action Requested: Background: On Feb. 28, 2008, the California Court of Appeal handed down a ruling that would prevent any parent who did not possess a teaching credential from legally homeschooling their children. On March 25, 2008 the California Court of Appeal granted a rehearing in the matter. This resolution commends the California Court for granting rehearing and asks that the Court recognize parents’ constitutional right to direct the upbringing of their children.
