Did you know that homeschooling has only been legal in all 50 states since 1996? We can’t take these freedoms for granted. By working together, homeschoolers can preserve our freedom for future generations. Here are some ways to get informed and get involved.

	Federal relations news HSLDA’s federal relations department tracks legislation on Capitol Hill that may affect your homeschool.		Issues & research library Find analysis and research on topics such as military enlistment, education policy, tax credits, privacy, immunization, and homeschool achievement.
	ParentalRights.org Join the effort to pass the Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution!		Generation Joshua Provides young people ages 11–19 with a hands-on education in citizenship and the political process.
	Congressional Action Program (CAP) CAP trains DC-area homeschooling families as volunteer lobbyists who meet personally with legislators and staffers regarding legislation that affects homeschool freedoms.
