Prayer & Praise

Ask the Lord to bless efforts to prevent the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which threatens the United States’ sovereignty, parental rights, and homeschooling freedom. (See cover story.)

Praise the Lord for His protection over homeschooling families encountering legal problems. Pray that God would grant HSLDA attorneys wisdom as they defend these families’ homeschooling and parental rights. (See Active Cases.)

Lift up the work of HSLDA’s Federal Relations Department and Congressional Action Program to prevent the ratification of the dangerous United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women. (See Freedom Watch.)

Ask God to provide encouragement, support, and resources to families who are teaching struggling learners or children with special needs. (See Joey’s World.)

Lift up the HSLDA Early Years program and Vicki Bentley, program coordinator, as she encourages and offers resources to families with children in preschool through 8th grade. (See Early Years.)

Thank the Lord for the opportunities He gives parents through Generation Joshua to pass on lessons to future generations who will continue fighting for freedom. (See See Liberty’s Call.)

Intercede on behalf of families who are encountering financial hardship and want to continue homeschooling. Pray God would continue to use the Home School Foundation to minister to these families and would provide resources to aid and encourage them. (See From the Heart.)

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

—Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)
