Announcing 2010 Poetry Contest Winners

The results of the 2010 Poetry Contest are in! Students were asked to compose poems in a variety of forms, with themes based on one of three positive character traits. The judges were delighted with the entries they received—hundreds of poems were submitted in all three categories.

In Category I, students ages 7 to 10 wrote ballads illustrating humility.

For Category II, students ages 11 to 14 wrote blank verse dramatic monologues illustrating mercy.

Finally, in Category III, students ages 15 to 19 wrote poems in heroic couplet form illustrating justice.
