Announcing 2011 Essay Contest Winners
The results for the 2011 Essay Contest are in! With hundreds of entries divided among the three categories, we were thrilled with the creativity and talent displayed by the homeschool students who participated from all over the country and the world.
Students were asked to write an essay based on a verse from Romans 12.
In category I, students ages 7 to 10 were asked to write on Romans 12:15:
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.”
In category II, students ages 11 to 14 were asked to write on Romans 12:12:
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Finally, in category III, students ages 15 to 19 were asked to write on Romans 12:18:
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with everyone.”
