Announcing 2009
Essay Contest Winners
The results for the 2009 Essay Contest are in! With hundreds of entries divided among the three categories, we were thrilled with the creativity and talent displayed by the homeschool students who participated from all over the country and the world.
In Category I, students ages 7 to 10 were asked to answer this question:
The Bible talks about God knowing all our days and all the days of time. Why do you think you were born now instead of in another generation?
For Category II, students ages 11 to 14 were asked to answer this question:
If you were charged with the task of investing $100,000 how would you invest it and why? Part of the requirement is you cannot give it away or spend it on yourself.
Finally, in Category III, students ages 15 to 19 to answer this question:
How does the news media (TV news, newspapers, news websites or blogs) affect your perception of America? Be sure you talk about coverage of both good and bad news.
